When I was in the Navy it didn’t matter if you were a Republican, Democrat, or an independent. We all worked together to accomplish the mission. That kind of cooperation and work ethic is what we’re missing in Congress.
It’s no secret that Washington DC is broken. Politicians care more about their special interest and corporate donors than their constituents. Gerrymandered districts have made it so that most Representatives don’t have to worry about winning re-election, they only have to fear a primary challenge. Our representatives care more about their Twitter following and media appearances than solving the problems that everyday Americans face. We must fix the structural problems that have broken our politics.
I’m running for Congress because we need public servants, not politicians. I’m running for strong and safe schools, to fix our healthcare system, and to get corporate money out of politics.
I don’t expect everyone to agree with everything I say. However, I hope that you can trust that I will be an independent voice for Texans that will be genuine and honest. Below you can read where I stand on most of the issues. If you have new ideas or thoughts, share them with us at email@example.com.
I hope you’ll join this campaign to put country over party and build a better future for every Texan.
